Insurance
To cover your investment in your tour and any unforeseen medical emergencies, we recommend you purchase an insurance coverage that would reimburse you for lost baggage or travel documents.
It´s mandatory that you have an international health insurance for accidents, death and emergency medical expenses including emergency medical evacuation. You must send us a copy of your international health insurance 30 days before the tour. If you haven´t international insurance you can take a local accident insurance here in Peru for US$15 per day.
Special Diets
We can usually accommodate special dietary requests. For vegetarians, Peru is plenty of fresh and delicious vegetables and fruits. You may wish to bring your favorite snacks if you are on a restrictive diet.
Smoking
If you are a smoker and we cannot pair you with a suitable other smoker, we must charge you an additional fee for a single hotel room as nonsmokers prefer not to share hotel accommodations with smokers.
Accommodations & Traveling Alone
Accommodations are based on double occupancy, two persons for room. Most single travelers are easily paired with a tour member of the same sex. However, if there is no appropriate member with whom you may share, you may have to pay a single supplement for the tour or for single hotel accommodations to cover our additional costs.
Difficulty Level
All tracks are in an intermediate level
- Level 1: This level means that no physical requirement is needed. Anyone can take this type of tour. As our tours are for adventurers, we don´t offer any tour with this classification.
- Level 2: This level means that a little physical activity is involved on the tour. Maybe walk through Inca sites, bike short and easy sections or raft on easy rivers will be required. No technical requirement is needed on this level. This level is suitable for almost any person.
- Level 3: This level requires some knowledge and practice of the activity involved. You know that your skills are good enough and with some tips you will beat any trail. It can include mountain biking, motorcycling, rafting or kayaking adventures.
- Level 4: This level is for experts only. You need to have strong skills on the activities involved. Almost all the time you will be challenged by rough conditions on the trails. You will need also a good physical condition to beat any steep climb.
- Level 5: Just a few persons can make these tours. You need to have proven high-level conditions to get into these tours.
Physical Fitness
These tours may be taken by anyone in good physical condition. Even an easy tour is more enjoyable if you are fit. You are encouraged to get in shape by exercising regularly. Running, hiking, swimming, bicycling, and aerobics are all good conditioners. Please call us if you have any questions about your ability to do a particular tour. Once a tour has started and it is necessary for you to leave the tour because it is beyond your physical abilities, please note that there will be no refunds for any unused portion of the tour.

Our staff will discuss with you the advisability of the tour. The tour leader has the right to disqualify any member from the group at any time if considered medically necessary to avoid endangering the welfare of the group.
